Horse Training

We believe in a firm foundation for horses. All horses need this in order to succeed as exceptional companions and mounts. Whether destined for the arena, show pen, ranch work or just pleasure, nothing is as important as quality fundamentals. I will take your horse from the corral to the most varied terrain to help him develop to his highest level. Our training method is rooted in the old California Reinsmen tradition; the style of Bill and Tom Dorrance and the style of Ed Connell. This type of training has recently come into vogue, however, this was the tradition Rick was raised in.

I have trained nearly every breed and discipline, from world-class Bridle horses to English and Western performance horses to racehorses and every thing in between. All horses regardless of discipline need the correct principles to attain their full potential. We also work with horses with problems and bad habits. We believe that most inappropriate behavior can be rectified through specific training and conditioning. We train with a firm yet gentle hand believing that good communication is better than hard demands.

We will give your horse a balanced combination of arena and mountain riding. I work closely with owners to aid the transition back to home after training. Your horse will get worked, for every 30 days of riding paid you will get thirty rides. We have payment plans and options help make expenses more affordable.
